Strawberries & Sweet Cinnamon Biscuits

Updated: Sep 10, 2020

You haven't LIVED until you've tried strawberries over SWEET CINNAMON BISCUITS. I prefer this over strawberry shortcake any day, any time!

Biscuit Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup of butter (earth balance)

  • 3/4-1 cup of vanilla almond milk

  • 4 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Strawberry Ingredients:

  • 1 small bag of frozen strawberries (thawed)

  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar

* Whipped Cream: So Delicious Cocowhip (DF/SF)

Biscuit Directions:

  1. Combine the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon and baking powder) in a bowl and whisk until combined.

  2. Add the COLD butter and mix (using fingers or a pie cutter) until the butter is cut in and roughly the size of peas.

  3. Add the milk to this mixture and mix until combined.

  4. Roll on a floured surface and flatten until your dough is about 1 inch thick.

  5. Cut your biscuits out of the dough (you can use a biscuit cutter or even a wine glass).

  6. Place the biscuits on a buttered baking sheet and place them in the fridge for 10 minutes. This will allow the butter to harden back up and get cold again.

  7. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

  8. Once the 10 minutes is up, put the biscuits in the oven and bake until golden brown on top.

Strawberry Directions:

  1. Mash the strawberries and add the sugar! It's that easy!

  2. Let them chill in the fridge until you're ready to eat.

* Cut the biscuits in half, add some coco whip and strawberries, add the top half and do the same!
